Since the fall season is just beginning, I decided to watch an old TV show. At first, I began watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer but since it is 7 seasons long.. I tried to look at my DVD collection and found Dark Angel...
Over the weekend, I just finished Dark Angel Season 1.
This show originally aired in 2000. In the Philippines, it aired on Studio 23 and it was one of the shows on my primetime to watch list.
Dark Angel is a sci-fi show about the existence of a secret government agency aimed to create the perfect soldier. They genetically create people by tampering into their DNA to create soldiers with extra-ordinary intelligence, strength, agility and other super soldier abilities. The story highlights one of these experiments called X5 to a character named Max, played by Jessica Alba.
Max is one of the 12 X5s who escaped the facility of this government Agency named Manticore. Season 1 features their escape and continual hiding in the hands of Manticore head, Donald Lydecker. It also features Max and Logan falling for each other. Logan, by the way, is a rogue journalism working to expose the corruption within Third World America.
